Back by popular demand following two successful Dads & Dos events over Father’s Day weekend, the workshop returns to Adventure Alley this September with a back-to-school focus on simple, everyday hairstyles that can make busy mornings a little easier.
Hosted by Sebastian Kennedy, Co-Founder of Adventure Alley, and Josh Seaton, founder of It’s DateNight – Join us Friday, September 25th for a fun, lighthearted, and hands-on evening designed for dads and father figures to spend quality time with their children while learning practical hairstyling skills they can confidently use at home.
Led by Giada Cavuto, owner of Chroma Hair Shop on Roncesvalles, this beginner-friendly workshop will cover ponytails, buns, braids, detangling, styling basics, and quick techniques for school-day mornings.
Adventure Alley’s Aliyah Pasqua will also support the workshop by sharing practical guidance and techniques for working with a range of textured hair types. We’re excited to be expanding hands-on instruction to better represent and serve families across Adventure Alley’s diverse community.
Giada and Aliyah will address detangling methods, styling considerations and practical techniques that families may encounter at home for a range of hair types and textures.

A 90-minute guided hairstyling workshop with Giada and Aliyah
Hands-on hairstyling instruction and practice
Use of a mannequin head and hairstyling tools during the workshop
Choice of a straight-hair mannequin or a textured-hair mannequin, selected during registration
Instruction covering a range of hair types and textures
Access to the Adventure Alley play space throughout the event
A child-friendly craft activity in The Burrow
Optional supervised play for the included child, subject to age eligibility

Children may move between the workshop room, craft activity and play space throughout the event.
Supervised play for the child included with the main ticket may be selected during registration at no additional charge, provided the child is at least five years old.
Children who are not registered for supervised play must remain under the care and supervision of the included accompanying adult.

Supervised play for an additional child MUST be selected during registration and is subject to age eligibility, staffing ratios, operational procedures, and availability

Supervised play is included at no additional charge for the child included with the main ticket

Children registered for supervised play may participate while their dad or father figure attends the workshop
Children who ARE NOT registered for supervised play MUST remain under the supervision of an accompanying adult
The included accompanying adult may supervise the child as they move between the workshop room, craft activity and play space
Supervised play for an additional eligible child is available through the ‘$25 additional-child option’ upon registration

Families are encouraged to arrive early to check in, complete any outstanding waivers, purchase grip socks if needed and get settled
All participating children must have a completed Adventure Alley waiver on file
All guests remain subject to Adventure Alley’s standard admission rules, check-in procedures, facility policies and operational guidelines.
Children using the play space must wear grip socks
Families may bring their own grip socks or purchase Adventure Alley grip socks at check-in for $5.99 + HST
Children must remain under the care of an attending adult unless they are registered for supervised play and meet the age requirements
Supervised play is subject to age eligibility, staffing ratios, operational procedures, and availability
Pizza and snacks will be provided
Guests should disclose dietary restrictions or allergies during registration
Accommodations cannot be guaranteed
Alcoholic beverages are available only to guests aged 19 and older
Valid government-issued identification may be required
Beverage service must comply with the terms of the Special Occasion Permit and all applicable service requirements
Content may be captured during the event for Adventure Alley and partner marketing purposes
