March Break is coming up fast, and we're packing the week with creative, nature-inspired fun for kids and families. Each day from March 16–20 brings a fresh theme tied to our play-with-purpose ethos, welcoming all ages to explore, create, and connect.
Monday, March 16
Kick off the week with hands-on eco-adventures in The Lookout Studio. Kids transform everyday materials into treasures:
Binocular Crafts: Build explorer binoculars from craft rolls, rope, natural bits, and art supplies – perfect for spotting playscape wonders.
Cardboard Game Lab: Design and play tabletop games made entirely from cardboard. Sketch, build, test, and tweak with friends.
It's all about turning everyday materials into magic while learning to care for our planet.
Tuesday, March 17
Our whole space will become a rainbow scavenger hunt, just like our Great Squirrel Search. Families will get prompts to collect colours from throughout Adventure Alley, and then gather in The Lookout to build one big community rainbow together.
Put on your detective hat, uncover hidden hues, and turn every discovery into a shared family win.
Wednesday, March 18
Drop in all day to The Lookout Studio for free-form creation with recycled findings, trims, and mixed media, with staff guidance for all skill levels. Build, collage, invent – we can’t wait to see your imaginations run wild!
Proud makers can display their work on our showcase table (photo ops included!).
Kids 4+ are welcome to craft independently, allowing parents to enjoy a little lounge time.
Thursday, March 19
Step back into the era of neon windbreakers, mixtapes, and playful creativity, with two totally radical throwback projects packed, perfect for the whole family.
Make your own coloured sand art bottles that shimmer with 90’s flair, or fold your way to future fortune with classic origami fortune teller templates. It’s all happening at The Lookout Studio, transformed into a 90’s-themed hangout complete with bright décor, upbeat tunes, and plenty of “as if!” moments that’ll bring the laughter and nostalgia rushing back.
Friday, March 20
Celebrate Spring’s Awakening! Join us for the equinox as our playscape worlds begin to hatch and bloom, exploring the wonder of nature’s magic and new beginnings. Enjoy drop-in crafts from 11 am - 4 pm, perfect for families spending the day together.
At The Burrow, toddlers (ages 1-5) can dive into springtime fun with crafts, including a table dedicated to decorating colourful cardboard flowers. Meanwhile, over at The Lookout Studio, all ages can get creative making animal puppets from cardboard and recycled materials, bringing nocturnal critters and budding nature scenes to life.
A gentle celebration of renewal, growth, and nature’s rhythms — the perfect way to welcome the new season.
These drop-in activities blend art, exploration, and storytelling for toddlers to tweens. Check our site/socials for timings, registration updates, and accessibility info soon.
